    It’s not black. It’s light navy. It also takes around 10 mins to boil. Worst kettle I have ever purchased.

    I bought this for my narrowboat because its low wattage and holds 1.7 litres of water which is perfect compared to other low wattage smaller kettles

    Nice kettle, wanted low wattage for travelling. Obviously it will take longer to boil (which upset a previous reviewer) than a conventional household kettle.
    Unfortunately I ordered the black one but the slate (light greyish blue) was delivered instead. I needed it in a hurry as my previous one stopped working and I don’t have time to return this one so it will have to do. Trying to message Amazon (as it was dispatched from one of their warehouses) to point out this mistake has been a pain in the proverbial and I have given up.

    Heading off for some winter camping, I needed a full sized kettle to fill multiple hot water bottles, but one which could handle being run off a 6a supply if 10a/16a hookups not available. This kettle proved absolutely ideal. Looks and feels like a conventional household kettle but is rated at 1000w and needs approx 9 minutes to boil at full 1.7l capacity. Liked the navy blue colour too!
