Why did you choose this product over others?: Large and spacious

The main problem was the smell, it arrived packing with the outside in pretty grubby poor condition, on opening the contents had a terrible smell, parts were marked , missing or damaged so it was a case of locating some additional parts to replace the missing items, we were lucky a relative had some items as the work in the carpentry sector but this still took time to get the items.
The instructions, despite being many pages long, were not clear at all, components were not marked or were not clear marings so it took a few hours to sort them out, the instruction refered to “Pack 1/2 and Pack 2/2” but neither of the boxes were marked so we had to open both to work out which was which and even then it was not clear even though we have assembled many flat packed units.
Having sourced the components, or suitable replacements, which we were missing we could continue assembly which even with three of us took a fair while trying to decipher the instructions and small font insert pictures which still were not clear.
It is a real shame that such a product arrives in such a condition, clearly at manufacture and packing it would seem quality control is lacking for this to happen in the first place, although Amazon are not to blame for the packing and manufacture we have to wonder if they just accept these or check any of them at ramdom as a way of checking the quality of the products they are selling.
We placed some activated charcol in a tray in each drawer and the robe as this is often a way of absorbing smells and neutralising them, this seems to be working as the smell has started to reduce.
I feel that given the price of the item we should have been able to expect a better quality although the finished look outside is acceptable apart from the uneven gap between the upper and lower drawers, which we attribute to poor measurement to the upper drawer runners . inner componets on which they are fitted.
It is a shame as the quality of the drawer fronts being high gloss is very good but let down by the missing components needed to build, it is true that we could have asked for replacements but we could not wait the time needed for them to arrive.
I feel the manufacturer could apply more care to the quality control and overcome the problem of the smell, review the instructions and review the instructions and they would have a pretty good product, there should be no reason for missing parts if the appropriate care is taken in picking and packing products.
I hope this review has been helpful in your consideration of this product, one has to wonder if this is a common problem throught this companies range, only opening the products can reveal this answer.
Amazon customer care is slipping as they seem to “speed read” email messages with complaints as they do not address the questions and suggestions when customers write to them, this has the effect of having to repeat oneself and results in multiple emails.
I would give careful consdieration to buying this product and expecting help from Amazon who are selling the tiem and fulfilling the order / delivery.

I purchased this in Aug 24 but tried installing it today ( Mid October) and it has been a disaster. I just cannot do it. Why would this need to be so complicated. I have done wardrobe before but they are not so complicated. I am lost as to who will help me since the product is also at fault as the drawer screw is not fixing.

It’s a long job to build this. I’ve had similar drawers before and unless you properly screw the round head holder in to attach the face of the drawer they’ll fall apart. Drawers only have one slit to fit the base so had to nail the base of drawers on. Screws are not the best fit for runners and had issues in the past so make sure they are flush with the metal on rollers or they’ll catch. Mine arrived in perfect condition with all parts and no smell as others mentioned. Tip for the small top drawer runner as instructions not clear, the screw unit is in two parts and you’ll need to hold a screwdriver on one side and tighten the other in. It’s taken me 4 hrs to build the frame alone and one drawer. I’ve lost the will to live so finishing off tomorrow. Instructions are not the best but I’ve had worse. Plus side is it looks really nice and is sturdy. Just pay attention to the drawers when assembling so the runners don’t catch and make an extra effort to nail the base of drawer properly. It’ll remind you why you hate flat pack but it does look really good. I’m off to bed to dream about Henry Cavill with sore hands and a bad back.

Decent product for the price. Top part 25mm thick which is fine to use as a shelf. Generally good item. Drawers are robust as they have bottom supports.
