   I was umming and aarging about getting a new vacuum cleaner. We had two dysons – one of those ball things which stopped picking anything up about a week after getting it and a DC30 (I think it was) – this one was heavy, a pain to drag into action and wasn’t particularly good either. Then one day we got the DC30 out and it went fizzle bang pop. There was an acrid stench of burning and fused motor – the king was dead! So I went ahead and ordered this. It’s light, easy to swing into action, and picks up crud out of the carpet like you won’t believe. The little headlights sound gimmicky but they’re actually really useful. So simple now to clean up the stairs. It’s also very versatile (like it can be used as a car vac or to get rid of cobwebs on the ceiling).

   When the main head is used on carpet, the head spinning results in it dragging itself forward like a mad corgi on a lead. This is quite appealing to me as I am very very lazy so a cleaner so eager – what’s not to like?

   As others have said, the collector is quite dinky so it needs emptying often but it’s a simple job and not a chore.

   It packs up into such a small package we just leave it out ready to use now – it’s so unobtrusive. Long live the King.

   Would I buy a Dyson again? No
   Would I get another one of these? Hell yeah

   I normally do not write reviews…but I absolutely love this hoover.
   As an owner of a small B&B hoovering is a daily chore. I currently own a Dyson DC40 and a Mile Cat& Dog – both premium brands and I am happy to pay for decent hoover quality. When the Miele packed up after 8 years, I looked for a substitute that would hoover as well as the Dyson but is lighter, smaller and quieter. After 2 bad choice (Amazon, I am so grateful for your return policy), I gave the Shark a go – due to good reviews and a 5 years warranty. Bingo – a great choice.

   My observations:
   Plus points:
   – cleans brilliantly on all surfaces with a more than acceptable sound level!!!
   – easy to handle and great to get into corners and awkward places
   – extra long cable and the lights on the hoover head are wonderful
   – brilliant for cleaning stairs due to being so light weight
   – folds up small for storage

   Negatives: not really for me, but worth mentioning
   – it takes a while to get used to the feeling that the weight of the hoover is on the top, close to the handle
   – you have to empty it more often than a conventional floor hoover – logically and not a big deal

   I can thoroughly recommend this shark hoover – the best buy for a long time – my kids make fun of me as I really enjoy hoovering now and can’t believe that I finally found the hoover that ticks all the boxes for me and our B&B.

   I bought this for my mother a couple of weeks ago and asked her tonight what she thought of it. She is a rigorous cleaner (some may say obsessive) and so most domestic cleaning utensils do not rise to her (very) high standards. Also as she grows older they need to be lighter and easier to use. She is eighty and has arthritis as well as a number of other minor complaints. She expects, however, the lightweight, easier to use item, to clean as well as her heavier high powered models of yore. As you can imagine, when asking “How she likes it? I was expecting a litany of derogatory comments about the Vacuum, (she has complained about the last three) it’s lack of power, and the general state of things in the world today. “When I was a girl Vacuum cleaners were “Vacuum cleaners” not the rubbish we get today, no wonder the world is going to hell in a wheelbarrow. However when I asked about the Shark vacuum I did not receive the answer I expected rather she admitted that it was “Quite Good” This faint praise from my mother is the equivalent to “This is the god of Vacuum cleaners” from any normal person. Perhaps this is even “The Ultimate Vacuum” She even grudgingly admitted that it had found some dust to collect, shock, horror, can it be so? This may be seen as a silly review, but it really is not. I am perfectly serious when I say that if my Mother likes a vacuum then it must be good (Hoover, Dyson, Vax and Morphy Richards have all had dreadful reviews from her)

   Le meilleur aspirateur jamais eu. Bien mieux que dyson. Le flec est juste super pour mon dos et les accessoires à acheter en plus bien pensés et super pratique.pourqupi toute la gamme shark n’est pas commercialisée en France?:-((

   Aspira con mucha potencia se recoge muy bien y por lo tanto no ocupa mucho espacio,por ponerle una pega me vino con el enchufe británico por lo tanto tengo que usarla con un adaptador
