We purchased this item to make the mattress softer. It was perfect. The elastic on aach corner easily fits round the corner of the mattress. It was of a good thickness. It was easy to wipe over. Sleeping was so much more comfortable. The only negative is that its no good in the summer as you over heat. We ended up taking it off the mattress to cool down. The winter will warm you up, quickly.
