This product is a must. I bought this when it was on offer along with the suggested filter paper and Illy coffee. It does exactly what it says it does. Easy to use, heats up and brews quickly to optimum temperature with a useful keep warm function. What I like the best about it is that it does not drip! The glass jug is perfect and there is not one single drip from the spout when or after pouring. You can easily get three good mug pours out of it and it is nice and compact for any sized kitchen. It is discreet, silent with absolutely no mess or drips. I will now be buying more for birthday presents. Top tip use filter papers and so mess and washing up. Excellent product, value for money.

I had to return this item because despite running it through with water at least 10 times, the resulting coffee had a strong and unpleasant plastic/chemical taste and smell.
Other observations:
– The jug is rather fragile. – The machine could do with extra support underneath at the back as it is easy to knock it off balance when filling it. – The coffee is not very hot.
I could live with these things, but the chemical taste is unbearable, so it gets just one star. It’s a shame because the machine is the perfect size for one or two mugs of coffee, unlike most similar machines which are designed to make far more than I would ever need.

A lot smaller than I’m used to, one full tank = one and a half mugs of coffee. Have to fill twice to get the carafe filled up. Brews quite quick, no handle on the filter mesh but on the filer holder I don’t see the point of that. Keep warm function not that good but it will do until I can get a normal sized one with a larger capacity.

I am very pleased with this coffee machine. My wife and I didn’t want to allocate a lot of space on our counter for a coffee machine, and we also don’t drink a lot of coffee or drink it very often, but we had visitors coming who were big coffee drinkers so we needed a solution.
A full jug is marked with a number 5 and makes about three regular mugs of coffee, which is plenty for my wife and me. The coffee is ready quickly, and the hot plate keeps it hot enough.
It has an alarm, which works well. You need to leave the machine switched on at the wall all the time or it loses the current time, but you can then set a time when you want the coffee ready and it will turn on and have it ready for you.
The machine is easy to fill with water and coffee, the machine lid stays up when you are filling it, and it is easy to clean after use, with the lid of the jug even coming off if needed so you can give it a good clean. It comes with a permanent filter so I don’t need to keep buying and folding filter papers, and it really is a one-button operation to start the coffee brewing.
The only thing I would have liked would have been an option to have the hot plate stay on longer than 40 minutes, but as they say in the instructions, the coffee is indeed best when it is fresh. I have not tried it, but I suspect I could “re-run” the coffee making operation without water to gain another 40-minutes of coffee warming.
The jug seems quite thin, so I have been very careful washing it: I would be surprised if it stood up to rough treatment. And I have also been washing the permanent filter carefully, because once that breaks through I’ll need to replace it (not easy?) or start buying filter papers.
But overall, this was a keenly priced machine that makes great filter coffee and is perfect for us.

I’ve used a cafetiere for ages (I even have a small one to make a shot of espresso if I need an extra caffeine hit) but it was getting annoying setting a timer while it was brewing so I wouldn’t forget and leave it to get stewed. Also, by the time it had brewed properly it was already getting cold. So I decided to buy a machine that keeps it warm for a little while after it’s brewed.
All I wanted was one that makes coffee. I use ground coffee, but also have a grinder which I like to use now and again. I don’t have anything other than straight black coffee so didn’t need an all singing and dancing machine. The husband has a Tassimo so it’s only for me.
This is perfect. Took a couple of attempts to get the coffee to water ratio how I like it, but I was expecting that. I’ve not tried the timer as I never know when I’m going to use it as I have a voluntary job that involves shifts at different times of the day and night, so I just set it up before I go to bed and all I need to do is switch it on when I want it.
There aren’t really many negatives. It would be nice to have a water level window on both sides. The jug also feels quite light and thin. I’m very careful when I’m washing it because it feels like it could break easily if I were to knock it against the tap by accident. I’ve knocked one star off for this.
All in all, it’s a great little machine. It’s quite compact so doesn’t take up much room and it can make enough coffee for two people (or one person who might want two mugs). It’s excellent value for money too.

I’ve been using this for a few months now. It’s great to be able to come down in the morning to freshly brewed coffee.
You get 2 good sized cups out of it so I have a big one with my breakfast and then fill a travel mug for work. That was a bit too much caffeine for me though so I’ve had to switch to decaf!
The timer is really easy to set. So easy in fact that it’s no problem to change the timer for weekends when you want it a little later.
One gripe. Unless you pour the coffee reeeaaaalllyy sslllloooowwwwllllyyy the spout dribbles on your worktop. It’s infuriating.
Overtaking though I highly recommend this product. It really saves time when you’re getting ready for work.
