I would describe it as a robot lawn mower on a stick, I though at first the company were missing a trick but they do actually have one of those on offer too…..

Like a lot of people, we live in a house that has fairly small front and back lawns, but sadly the only way to access the front from the back is through the house. We have for years therefore had to carry a fairly hefty electric mower from back to front for fairly modest lawns on both sides. I have considered a robot mower but they are always crazy expensive and I had therefore been looking at other options.

I have been considering at the G-tech small cordless mower which was retailing around £180 but I didn’t realise until investigating, didn’t include a battery. This item came up as a suggestion from Amazon and was selling for £100 with the battery and I decided to take a punt…I nearly did the same on their robot mower…although that had poorer ratings.

The item arrived quickly via amazon and was well boxed in cardboard (well done swift for only having a few plastic bags) and was easily assembled. The main shaft of the handle is in three sections which have to be screwed together at each section with plastic connectors, the main shaft does resemble a mop handle in weight and quality. The top of the handle holds the battery (which was included and fully charged on delivery).

The actual mower part, I can only really describe, as resembling a robot mower on a stick. its about that size and has a cutting width of about a 30cm…it has two outrigger wheels on the front and one smaller rubber ball wheel at the back, with three settings accessed by a handle on the top of the mower foot. The mower is controlled by a trigger at the top and a button which has to be depressed on the side before operating the trigger.

Having cut the back and front lawns, I can say its a very light mower that cuts quite uniformly although the actual track isn’t very wide. You will feel a bit like you are hovering the grass as its that sort of motion, stripes are out of the question but overall its done a relatively good job of tidying up the lawns. Clearly it doesn’t collect the grass and I am not sure if they intended to be a mulching device but it didn’t leave clumps of cut grass which is good..

One thing I have noticed is that because the front wheels are quite a way out from the cutting head, edges are going to be quite difficult to achieve if you have raised beds or edging on your lawn…..it would have been better if they brought them in close to the head.

Its relatively quiet, no more than a standard electric mower/electric hand held hoover.

Included with the pack are a charger for the batter which is a solid item and a scoop which I think is for removing stuff from the cutting foot when it gets stuck..I havent yet charged it back to full but on front and back lawns its used two sectors of batter for about 15 minutes of running…

In summary, if you are looking for a small and light mower to quickly tidy up your lawn and dont want to fork out for the GTech its not a bad buy..its well packaged and seems to work well.

Really light and easy to manouver. Kind of like “vacuuming” the grass. Storage is a breeze since it’s so small. Battery does about 40 sq meters. Height adjustment is quick and easy to change.

I’m very impressed with this cordless lawnmower.

It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and perfect for smaller gardens. The battery life is better than expected — I was able to finish my entire lawn on a single charge. Assembly was straightforward and the build quality feels solid.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a compact and efficient mower without the hassle of cords.

This lawnmower is designed very cleverly, with a small size, light weight, easy to use, convenient to carry and store, and very flexible to operate. It is equipped with a super cover and high lift blades, which can effectively and quickly cut grass debris; It has 3 cutting heights that can be freely switched according to the geographical environment. It also comes with a powerful battery that can provide up to 30 minutes of running time, making it perfect for mowing the lawn in your front and back gardens. It’s much more convenient than those bulky, heavy, and plug-in lawn mowers.

This is a brilliant little mower. It tackles quite long grass and mulches it finely. So light and easy to use. The battery charges quickly and lasts around 30 mins, enough to mow both our medium size lawns with some to spare. Very easy to assemble and folds up, taking very little space in the garage. Although light it is sturdy and is extremely good value.
Amazing performance for it’s size. Can thoroughly recommend

this product is amazingly good. I have a medium sized garden front and back and normally use a 140cc petrol mower and just wanted this to do a little manicuring which it is brilliant for but quite honestly it can cut the whole garden. No fuss, easy, quick, light. Its sort of like hoovering the lawn but leaves a satisfying even cut. Its also very quiet so does not upset the neighbours when I drink a glass or wine and trim up the lawn afterwork. The battery is hardy and can last long enough to do front and back gardens. Buy one you will be totally satisfied with it. Especially if you like hoovering.

So it’s a great item first out the box, easy to put together battery charges well first time round & it does in fact give a decent cut.
Once used and put back on charge it refused to work again. No issue with the return & refund. Great design just needs improving so it works more than once.
