Love this. Perfect size for my 3 seater sofa. I’m sitting on it now! I’ve had normal blankets, throws on my sofa before and they always come off. This pretty much stays, of course it needs adjusting but doesn’t come off during use. Lovely design too

What’s This? –
I ordered this sofa cover from the Amazon brand TAOTAOGO. I’m not quite sure what to think about it. My issue really, is that it;’s not really a sofa cover – its an extra large piece of haberdasher’s fabric, 180cm x 380cm, for the XXL size. The fabric is certainly soft furnishing fabric – but its the type of thickness and stiffness one might imagine a sofa actually being upholstered in; with matching cushions and covers. It does look like a quality fabric, but frankly a partially finished one, with a weaver’s selvedge and fringe on two sides, and hems only on the shorter sides. What it certainly is not, is a chunky or soft throw one could snuggle in on drafty nights – although you could be forgivinen for thinking it might be from the photos.
I opted for the brown cover, in the hope that it would be neutral, but not show dirt. It achivees both of these points well. The brown isn’t a flat self colour; it has some depth to it, a kind of twiggy texture, in fact it does remind me a little of a chenille sofa my gran had in the 70s.
arranging it on the sofa is easy. It works best for simple long sofas not complex L shapes or unusual configurations. Laying it onto the sofa is easy, especially if it is not up against a wall like mine. However keeping it in place is harded, given that it utilses neither the elasticated edge that some covers use, nor the foam tubes than are sometimes supplied with sofa covers which are designed to squich down between the sofa frame and the cushions, thus trapping the cover in place so it cant move around. I did find this cover looked good, but it does need periodic rearranging.
I am intrigued by this cover but I do think it rather falls between two stools – it’s trying to be a proper sofa cover, but it is not fitted, and it’s trying to be a throw, but it is not soft enough.
The price for the larges size here is substantial at £55 for the XX-L size. I am not sure how that works to just buing a length of your favourite fabric; I guess it is a very large piece of decent quality cloth. However Ii should last a long time – it is machine washable and can be cool ironed – and if it does not work out on the sofa perhaps there are some Family Von Trap recycled outfits to be made!

Gorgeous! I put this sofa cover on my Sofa, and it immediately refreshed its look, it looks cleaner and almost elegant.
This huge cover/throw is made from good quality material, It feels dense and durable to the touch, and it stayed in place without slipping.
It really does a great job of protecting against pet hair, dirt and dogs paws, the material is pet-friendly which was a most pleasant surprise. It combines the advantages of chenille material and scratch resistant material. Our cats approve of how comfy it is.
It isn’t too heavy making the wash easily, and it fits in most washing machines. For the past month it’s been washed 3 times without signs of wear so far. I don’t have to worry about it shrinking or deforming either.
Overall, this cover/throw is both practical and stylish, making it a great value especially that my cat/dog loves playing and napping on it.
