Arrived well packaged and with fast delivery an interesting art set Paint by numbers kit.
I received the thick canva with small numbers , the little jars with acrylic paint, brushes, the acurrate image how it should look.
This activity is relaxing me, although the numbers are very small.

The listing title and within the text both say ‘oil’ – this is NOT oil paint – it’s acrylic.
I’m glad of this fact, as I chose it thinking it was acrylic, as all others i’ve had before have been, and had a heart sink moment when I thought oil was coming and I have no linseed oil or turpentine.
Thankfully it is acrylic, but you’d be gutted if you thought you were getting oil.
Now, on to the actual canvas. It’s not stretched. You’re going to have to stretch it on a frame before you start painting, or the paint will crack and it doesn’t lie flat. It’s bigger than I thought, so you need a decently sized frame or bits of wood.
Once you’ve got it stretched, you can start painting, and for that a pretty big magnifier would be a good idea! I simply cannot see the numbers even with my reading glasses. Thankfully I have +8 glasses for craft purposes – beadig and the like – and they allow me to see the numbers on the canvas.
The paint is supplied in tiny little pots fastened together in groups. They are VERY hard to open, so you might need to pry them open with something.
The dragon does look amazing and I’m excited to eventually get it done, but it’s a slow going process, and as I salreay said, it’s bigger than I thought.
You get three supplied brushes of differing thicknesses aren’t great, if you have your own, that might be better.
So, while it’s fairly comprehensive in that it comes with the canvas, instructions, paint and brushes, you do need to stretch it and better brushes are advised. The canvas is good and thick though, and the print is clear.
