I’ve had this toaster less than 3 months and it is totally useless. The basic requirement of a toaster is to cook bread evenly and consistently, yet this device fails on both of those counts. Half the filaments fail to warm up, and even at its maximum setting of 6 I only get brownish toast unevenly cooked.
I therefore complained to Cusimax (a Chinese rip off of Cusinart) and asked to return this toaster for as refund under their warranty, which they have refused to honour, just telling me to take the matter up with Amazon instead.
No doubt Amazon will help me but it is not their fault that one of their sellers try to sell a cheap and nasty toaster and then refuse to deal with any after sales service.
BUYER BEWARE – YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS TOASTER!
Latest update – Cusimax will not honour their warranty if you buy this toaster through Amazon! This is what they wrote:
“Please understand that this store is not our store, which means that we have not authorized the sale of products.
So we cannot provide warranty for this product. We suggest that you directly contact the store that has received buyer support.”
Amazon through their normal excellent customer service have kindly agreed to take back this toaster and refund me but that is just goodwill on their part. This supplier and their product cannot be trusted!

Love the retro stainless steel look. It works very well, the controls all feel very satisfying to use, and it doesn’t feel cheap at all. It feels like a more expensive toaster. It’s good that this isn’t a big-name brand, or it would be more pricey! No complaints, very happy

Good toaster for the price. I’ve owned better toasters but they cost considerably more. Compared to my previous toaster this one takes longer to toast but has all the basic features I need. Minor complaint…it would have been helpful to have the bagel placement (facing inside or outside) imprinted on the top of the toaster.

This was a lot of money when you don’t have much. But we wanted to stop spending $20/ year on a cheap Toastmaster toaster. The last two lasted maybe 6 months each.
We wanted to have something that lasts. That has quality.
Yes, the bagel setting doesn’t do anything. But it toasts frozen bagels perfectly on the regular setting. It does very well with frozen GF bread.
The best part for me, the hubby can keep his setting on the right, and mine on the left.
Due to my various illnesses, hard food creates sores in my mouth. So with this, there’s no forgetting to change the timer and being wasteful.

Only 1 criticism, the slots could do with being longer for the malt bread and seeded loaves, the slices have to go in at an angle.
Width is fine, speed is fine, I like the digital count down in seconds.

It looks good. It’s only good for small slices of bread. You have turn the bread around a few times to get an even cook on normal sized loafs. Easy to use. It does a nice even job,timer is a great feature.

Ignore the reviews stating this is too small for standard UK slices. That is nonsense. Unlike a conventional toaster, this is deeper front to back than top to bottom. Flip your bread 90 degrees so it goes in length ways front to back and it fits just fine and gets a nice even toasting. The only bread that won’t fit in is that really large paper wrapped Warburton bread, but that’s too big for most toasters. I almost didn’t order this because of those incorrect reviews.

This toaster is essentially identical to one I bought here several years ago. A good all around everyday toaster with a nice digital countdown that is adjustable and lets you know exactly how much time remains until it is done. Makes getting the perfect toast very easy every time. Looks great and works great. My only regret is that these latter day toasters no longer open on the bottom for cleaning. It’s a safety thing, they say. I don’t think any being made now are any different, for cleaning you get a pull out crumb tray while the bottom remains closed. It’s annoying to me but nothing can be done about it. If you happen to get something stuck down in there the only way to get it out is from the top and that can be … interesting. Oh well, that’s newfangled appliance safety for ya. This is a good toaster, would buy again. In fact I just did. Note, the “brand name” on this model changed over the last few years but it is absolutely the same identical appliance that I got last time. The shape of the timer knob changed a little, and the side panel is a different color, but it’s the same, trust me. I used to work for a giant appliance maker, I know how to spot technical differences.

Lubricants are used in manufacturing and the sanitary way to remove the oils is through heat or dry runs. So before you use, put anything in the toaster, push the arms down a couple of times to burn off lubricants. If you have touchy smoke alarms in your home, open a window first before you start toaster.
The toaster is ok. I say ok as the toaster is not deep or as deep as some, so you won’t get a great browning on the top of a slightly taller bread especially home made bread.. I do like the cancel button as opposed to lifting the arms manually. Bagel choice was on last toaster and wife uses, but no use for defrost. If item is froze, I just turn the heat up a notch. The last toaster did 10 years, and had stopped working on one slot. I am happy with this toaster, it is clean and neat, and would buy again.
