Packaging and microwave arrived in excellent condition.
Bought to replace my old 20lt 700w microwave. I wanted one that was a little bigger and the 23lt is just the right size.
The casing of the microwave is not that compact so would not be good if you only had limited space, best to check measurements first.
I don’t mind this though as it is very sturdy, does not move around when the door is opened and the control panel is better for me as I don’t need my glasses to read it!
The stainless steel is not just painted plastic ,is very shiny and attractive. The picture does not do it justice.
The inside is finished well and looks like it will be easy to clean.
I am looking forward to using it.
This microwave is a lot for a very reasonable price. Don’t usually leave feedback as I often forget but this deserves a positive review.
Very happy with my purchase 😃

My elderly parents carers put a meal in their microwave which had a tinfoil base. I can’t grumble since the carers are lovely to my folks but sometimes there’s is a bit of cultural difference as maybe they haven’t experienced a microwave in the past, (bless ’em), so no biggy.
I had to get a new one and this was on offer for less than £60. What’s great about it is it’s simple. No confusing microprocessor and 1001 different settings, it’s the timeless design of a power knob and a timer knob. Mom and Dad had some nice hot meals since Sunday when it came and the carers haven’t managed to blow this one up yet.
*EDIT** It’s been 8 months since I purchased this, and it is still foolproof for my mom and dads carers and still delivering the goods in a couple of twists and button presses. So simple but does the job it was designed for admirably. Back in the early 80’s when the microwave craze really took hold Toshiba was THE biggest name in MW ovens. Don’t get me wrong I doubt they are made in Japan now, but Japanese manufacturers do outsource to Indonesia China Taiwan etc. I will trust any Japanese manufacturer to have the same standards and QC as their own domestically produced items. Ask me how I know? I have bought quite a few Japanese brand guitars over the years (basses actually) Yamaha, Ibanez etc, and the budget models made in cheaper countries are every bit as good in terms of quality as the very much higher priced Japanese manufactured guitars. That is because such names cannot be sullied with poor workmanship, so while offering premium products at premium prices (if made in Japan) they ensure that quality conforms to their own exacting standards where ever it’s produced.
I suspect this is exactly the same for Toshiba, as the oven I bough for my parents has taken a hammering every day since it was bought, far more that a normal MW would have to as it’s now the only thing that heats their food (had to cut off the gas stove supply a couple of years ago for safety as mom has dementia). ALl our kids have now left home, so when the time comes I’m going to remove the monster of a microwave we have and get one of these. Ver, very happy with the product still.

The TOSHIBA 20 Liter 800W Manual Control Solo Small Microwave, Compact with 5 Power Level is nearly two months old now so review time.
The microwave is compact and takes up less space then previous ones i bought did. If you look at the measurements, its only a centimetre here or there but that does make a big difference if you are space limited. This was one of the requirements I was looking for.
It is a manual microwave which makes it simple to use. It heats up items well and so far functions well. It takes the microwave dishes I use. So far, the largest used is the sistema round microwave container 1.3 lits. L 233 mm x H 80 mm x W 210 mm.
Cons
It has difficulty in maintaining the plate rotation when popping microwave popcorn bags as they keep getting caught on the interior. You can pop the bags in this microwave but definitely stay aware.
As said in previous reviews, the labelling for the timer is very odd in the font and colouring they chose and so can be difficult to see.
In addition, the knob handle for the timer is difficult to grasp as it is narrower than on other models in my opinion. I use a small cloth or kitchen paper to help turn it sometimes.

Very good microwave for the price. Working well. Bought this some time ago. Heats up well. Not as good as we had Panasonic microwave earlier but went kaput and hence this. Does the job very well. Time is a tad bit faster than normal but you can live with it – not a biggie! Fast cook times are bonus!. Panasonic didn’t have single buttons start for 30 seconds and that’s so good and you can do in multiples of 30 secs. For all others you can do directly for max upto 6 minutes! Brilliant for that. Big dinner plates fit in good and easy to put in take out. Looks good on our kitchen top. Resilient and durable. Seems to cook for all types food- from frozen to just a little warmup! You can adjust the power levels but we just leave it on 10 and it’s easy to put it on the highest level. Top marks for this. — till now. Will come to know about the service part when something goes wrong 😜
