I have another 20 inch carry on from Patagonia which they don’t make anymore which has lasted me at least 10 years and I love it. However, this one is squarer and will fit more. it is a bit deeper as well. The fabric seems extremely sturdy, the wheels seem very good, and the handle also seems ok at first tryout. This line was recommended by the Wirecutter and I really like how I could buy a used one through Amazon for a little bit less. it arrived with tags without any noticeable difference: seems new, probably just returned! I’m hoping this will last me through my summer fall travels and I’m going to try not to check luggage. I also don’t love spinners: I like the two wheeler. This one fit my needs exactly!

The platinum series cases are of very high quality and this model has the roll aboard wheels instead of the spinner type wheels which in my opinion just beg to be knocked off as they stick out too far and also take up too much room in the overhead binns.

Our trips internationally are made better by only taking carry on luggage and we have gone through many bags that have torn or just come apart. This bag with its lifetime warranty, while expensive will be better placed to survive our trips to Africa and the wild safaris we go on.

The suitcase matched the description perfectly. It’s got quite a few pockets inside and out to keep things flat, or hidden away.
The one thing I didn’t, or maybe haven’t gotten used to is the placement of the liquid and gel pocket. If you’re packing a full suitcase it’s a pain to have wrestle it if you’re asked to. Not all airports ask. I’ve only taken a few flights with it so far. It’s a bit on the pricey side (in Canada) but the build quality is good and everything is right where I packed it. The lifetime warranty sold me.
