This really is the worst hoover I’ve ever used. Ever since I’ve had it, it constantly breaks and needs maintenance before every use. It’s so bad it blows dirt away rather than sucking it up (no matter how much you clean it, empty it, take it apart and put it back together). I really wish I could get my money back.

Love it. Replaced a Dyson cordless and is so much better. The Dyson was not easy to use – you had to keep your finger on the trigger whereas the Vax has controls you can press on/off. Also, and one of the main reasons for buying, the battery is removable for charging and a display for how much power is left. The only thing I didn’t like – the wall mount. Apart from that, i would highly recommend.

In order to try a stick cleaner out I bought the cheapest – and found it could be very useful in my attempt to keep the carpet clean in the ‘activities room’ – bits of cottton, scraps of paper ert etc.. Having decided I would use one in preference to a perfectly OK vaccum cleaner.
I researched and founf it was given as good value and rated highly in a national magazine published to help ypu make decisions like this. There recommendation was this cordless model which I haddn’t really thought abought. It has lived up to these standards. I bought PET as it has the exta tools, but not sure how much I will use these. So far battery has laasted well and not having a lead is an advantage I hadn’t expected – but I do still go to pull the lead behind me! Being cordless I am finding I am able to do small areas, or one room without the chore of dealing with a lead which is a great derrant to doing any vacuum cleaning. eg about to go and do the door mat.
The packaging and instruction booklet are very high standard, and overall everything is very well designed and made. The 2yr guarantee means they are pretty certain it won’ need repairing during this time..
I have 2 criticisms. It is heavy, – then they all are and the centre of gravity inevitably near the top of the handle. Also, It may have been that I was doing it wrong on the first attempt, but I had to use to release the carpet fluff which formed much of the debris. Dirt and little bits of paper were picked up fine – The problem with the fluff is because the carpet is new, and it should be a temporary issue. Choice overall has been good. Carpets do look much cleaner and the full dust container is very satisfying. Keep the charger beside a socket (not plugged in , for efficiency

Iive got a jack Russell and as anyone who knows they put Caine confetti EVERYWHERE!!. This hoover don’t hoover up to edges or anywhere near bit of a pain. It’s also not great on dried mud trampled in by kids on wooden floors it moves it around and chucks it behind it so you think you’ve got it till you turn round. Some would say it’s lightweight but it is top heavy. Where it cleans on carpet it is very good. Again with the jack fluff it’s a pain to empty as it all sticks up around the mesh filter thing and the gap is too tight to get your fingers up in so you’ve got to take it apart from the other end A messy job do it outside. I’m only a week in with this thing and let’s just say I wouldn’t buy another and will just use it as a quick whip round thing. Henry will come out once a week for a good clean

Good suction power, sucks up stubborn pet hair easily.
Battery life is a bit poor and will need to be charged after each use.

I just love this Vax blade. It’s such strong suction and it’s very lightweight. On a low setting this runs easily 40-45 minutes and leaves the carpets all like they where new again. I’d buy another one of these anyday. Good value for money, no plastic pipes to snap. Lovely metallic blue. So easy to clean and just makes hoovering a great experience with something that really has power. The pet brush has a motor which is great for the stairs. This also is very powerful and brushes the carpet up like new. I have an upright shark in my cupboard but have not used it since I bought this. I also have the Vax carpet shampooer which is amazing. The change of design is so much better and easier to clean than the first one they bought out. I love Vax coz it really does do what it says on the adverts. It cleans and cleans good x

I’m pleased with my purchase. It’s not the best cordless vacuum or most versatile, but it’s great value for money and adequate for most tasks. Pros: light, easy to use, easy to empty dust, reasonable length of time before the battery runs out, easy to store.
Cons: quite powerful but would benefit from a bit more power, too clumsy to use in my car, needs a bag/container for accessories.

I have only had this for a couple of weeks but am finding it easy to use and does a good job on hard floors and rugs alike. The head comes off easily for using on curtains settees stairs etc. I agree its on the heavy side but not too heavy. The attachments are easy to fit and it is easy to empty. I love the colour too
