To be honest when I first unpacked this Vezzio Stand Mixer I thought it seemed so lightweight that it must just be a hand-mixer in a different shape, I’m not sure I was wrong but it does work better than expected. When I say lightweight I mean it and it’s so flimsy there are little sucker-feet on the bottom to stop it wandering around your countertop while it’s running. The bowl and the various mixing head attachments are solid enough and seem well-finished, but the all-plastic base and motor section has no real substance at all and feels quite cheaply made.
One good thing is that the mixer blades are all a decent match for the bowl, I’ve had basic mixers previously where the blades hardly got near too the sides of the bowl so you had to repeatedly stop the mixer to scrape mixture from the sides. This one isn’t too bad for that and actually does a decent job of incorporating everything without too much help, though you will need to use the included silicone spatula occasionally.
Less good is the way the mixer writhes around while it’s running. I used it to make a sponge mix, just creaming butter and sugar together and then mixing in the other ingredients, and even that soft mixture made the different parts of the base squirm and wriggle around as if they were going to come apart at any moment. They didn’t and it actually made a very decent job of mixing the cake mix so I can’t really criticise the end result.
That said, it’s possible to get entry-level models from some of the better known mixer makers at around the same price as this one and although they might not make a better job of your cake mixing they’ll probably stay together in one piece longer. This one looks like it’s trying to take itself apart as it works…

What an abundance of accessories!
A very capable machine with very contemporary looks.
Though the Splash guard has got utensils spliced in its design in a way I’ve never seen before it is the one true let down as the makers have opted not to make it click into place. Therefore there are moments when the guard rattles around and assumes a position that would defeat it’s purpose.
Nice bright display with very useful counter and countdown functions. Input selection is relatively good too. The dial is very responsive.
The amount of interchangeable heads in the bundle is of true benevolence, ensuring the mix.
