Very happy and pleased with this hedge trimmer. I had a large hedge that was due an annual trim and these trimmers were more than up to the challenge. The blade was sharp and was able to cut thicker branches without problem. It was very handy having a good length lead and blade which made life easier. With regards to the weight of the trimmer I found it very manageable and not too heavy at all, and I’ve got bad shoulders! So in summary, this trimmer looks and acts just as it should and I would be happy to recommend it.

Got this last year 2023, was a good cutter, just the right size at 22mm cut, was really pleased, come to use it this year 2024 was using it for 20mins and it stopped, checked all fuses but the motor had seized or something, went to the tip for recycling, checked on amazon to get another but not available, could say a bit of a rip off.

So far so good, 1 unruly hedge trimmed back. Went through it like butter compared to my previous one. Yes it’s weighty but not too much bother (I’m a 5’ woman) cut through thicker branches nearly an inch thick without too much effort (which is why I went for this particular one) it’s as noisy as you would expect a machine cutting hedges to be. Good long cable length and handy being able to turn the handle both ways. Overall I’m well impressed for the price, so far so good 😊

I’ve been looking for a new hedge trimmer for a while and have looked at many brands, whether I should get an engine, battery or electric powered one.
At the cheaper end of the elecric market, they all seemed very underpowered for the type of work I wanted it for. Middle market, although better powered nearly always charged extra for a power cord and had some special kind of special connector, which was also charged for.
The battery ones seemed quite heavy especially if you buy the more powerful battery.
And the engine powered just seemed unweilding and a bit dangerous.
But then I found my saviour!
VonHaus seem to have a massive and growing range of garden and domestic machines, most of which I’ve only ever found here on Amazon.
This machine has proved the perfect balance for me in terms of both power and weight, it easily cuts through twigs and bushes up to 20mm/1 inch maybe even a bit bigger! it also comes with a very long cord as standard!
After all my research, I’m glad I got this one and the price is almost unbelievable!
Made in China of course but designed in the UK!

It does the job. Not as powerful as I’d hoped for. Struggled with branches its appearance suggests it would sever effortlessly. Easy to handle if a little heavy and a little noisier than I’d have expected. In summary it does the job but not over awed. Can’t complain as it was reasonably priced.

Only used once, so can’t comment on longevity, but hope as it has a powerful motor it will last. Doesn’t seem to jam up like my last one and gives a good clean cut. The blade is long so has a good reach. Cable is also a good length. It’s quite a chunky bit of kit, so not the lightest, but I’m only 5 foot and have arthritis in my hands and managed it well. I use it in the lighter hedges and we have a lot, so got a good work out. Hubby uses the petrol one, which is too heavy for me , on the thicker hedges. All in all very pleased with its performance and would recommend.
