For the price this is a ok mixer, not used the dough hook yet.
The negatives;
mixers (blade and whisk) don’t go to base of the bowl, therefore requires a lot of scraping down and mixing the bottom
the arm of the mixer doesn’t lift high enough above the bowl, this makes it awkward to add ingredients and mix the bottom (see point above)
the plastic shield pushes onto the mixer but falls off and not very snug fitting
The blade part isn’t metal so not sure how long this will hold up, the whisk and the dough hook are
Good points;
lightweight but moves around a bit when on high speeds with a lot of ingredients
bowl easy to remove and clean
does the job for the prices but would recommend spending a bit more as the negatives really bother me!

When researching the purchase of a stand mixer two years ago, I was moderately amused by the comments of some previous purchasers of the VonShef Stand Mixer.
That is, repeatedly customers stated they “found it inconvenient” that the mixer “failed to go all the way to the bottom of the mixing bowl,” and they were also required to “scrape ingredients off the sides” while mixing. Laughable. My son has a high quality KitchenAid 300w, and my business partner (gourmet chef) has a CuisinArt SM50 and both of them have to “scrape the bowl” to fold in ingredients and the mixer doesn’t go all the way to the bottom of their bowl.
I am temporarily relocated in Europe and needed a high quality stand mixer with the cost of my CuisinArt back home. This VonShef is a delight to use, easy to set up and clean and gives consistently good results as a home level preparation device. I highly recommend it to anyone wishing to invest in a more elaborate or expensive unit…plus I love the red color.

I don’t mind the mixer but when I go and put the paddle in the dishwasher it comes out with some sort of black coating on it so I’ve stopped putting it in the dishwasher. I just wash it by hand now as not too sure what it is. After it has been in the dishwasher. If anyone knows please let me know. Thank you.

Purchased in the sale and was a bit dubious cause of some of the reviews about it moving.
I’m glad I ordered it as it’s a great cake mixer with the different attachments. Easy to use and clean too.
It’s quite noisy but does not move at all even when on high power as it has suction feet, so I really don’t understand all the other reviews moaning about it moving.

Although slightly noisy this is a good machine for the price, having had it a little while and used it for a number of recipes I can now say it is not that good for smaller amounts, made a victoria sandwich and when mixing the butter and sugar I regularly had to scrape the sides down.

Great for my basic needs. I make cakes ocassionally, now I can do something else why the stand mixer does the work!
It Looks great. Great size not too small not too big. Fits in my cupboard perfectly.Powerful.
Wish there was a button to eject attachments. Its s bit awkward to remove them. Sturdy enough, needs a bit of volume so cant whisk small volumes, as it does not reach the bottom.

Bought this mixer for my new kitchen partly because I loved the colour and I’ve wanted a mixer for ages. I wasn’t sure at first as most of the good ones appear to cost hundreds of pounds and this one was so reasonable by comparison. Well I needn’t have worried because it’s brilliant – I’ve used it lots and it always gives great results. I have absolutely no complaints.
