Initially sceptical about buying a metal-frame platform bed because some of them can loosen up and squeak or rattle over time, but went ahead during a discount period when the price of the frame made it worth a try.
The powder-coated frame has a great finish and it is very easy to put together. Every hole lines up well and the hinged legs are really stable once bolted into position. Once complete, the frame feels solid. Cool looking headboard is an integral part of the frame and offers plenty of sit-up support before we scooch down.
We coupled this with a Newentor mattress on Black Friday special offer and the result has been great. A really comfortable and quiet night’s sleep every single night. No squeaks or odd random noises – even though this is a King size and one of the taller frames offered by Zinus. Its likely that their shorter frames like the Suzanne 18cm would feel even more solid.
It is also a great looking piece of furniture, and sufficiently ‘neutral’ to blend with a range of bedroom styles and shades. The fact that it can be taken down will be a bonus in the future when it comes to decorating or laying new carpets. Easy to transport too if we need to relocate.

Bought a king size as a cheap replacement for a divan base that had seen better days.
Arrived in a very compact package. Opening it up frankly it was astounding how well packaged everything was. Instructions were clear, the provided tool was of very good quality and all the fitments were easy.
Putting it together took one person not that long at all. It’s gone together amazingly with no squeaks or rattles. The amount of supporting metal feet gives me confidence the wooden slats will hold up over time. It carries the weight of two adult males without concern. It’s a great height too for storage underneath.
This is one of the best flat pack items I’ve put together in many years and the price is so good for it. I would recommend it to anyone whole heartedly.

I’m very impressed with the quality of this bed. It was packaged well. No scratches or blemishes on the metal work or the headboard. I was expecting some due to the low cost. The finish on the metal work is superb. The frame itself is sturdy and doesn’t squeak if you move around. The slats are solid and wide giving good support and keeping the mattress in place. Assembling wasn’t too tricky, just go by the numbered stickers on each part. I was a bit doubtful because of some reviews stating the headboard screw holes were too small and at first it seemed they might be because I couldn’t get one of the screws in but I found that putting all 4 headboard screws in while adjusting the angle of the head board to accommodate each screw then tightening them all up worked great and, kept the frame in line, rather than tightening one screw at a time. It took about an hour to build including unpacking everything and also my cat repeatedly getting in the way wanting to help 🙃

Very good, sturdy, doesn’t wobble or make a noise. The ratchet tool included for assembly is very useful and it’s very easy to assemble. I got the king and assembled it my own in about an hour.

If you have a small room this bed frame is excellent. I own two. A standard single and a queen size double. The footprint of each bed is barely bigger than the mattress. There are no sharp corners to catch your legs on. There is 30cm height of storage room under the bed which is very useful and it has a solid headboard, which is great because both rooms i use the frame in have a radiator and curtains behind the headboard. My only criticism is the brown coloured headboard isn’t the most attractive, but i painted the one in my son’s room with blue kitchen cupboard paint and it now looks very good. Its an easy frame to put together. I built both on my own and the frame seems very sturdy. Great value imo

The pieces that attach the headboard to the frame were incorrectly threaded making it impossible to securely connect them. As a result the bed was wobbly the entire time I used it.
When contacting the seller, the only option offered was to send the entire set back in, after I had already assembled 90% of it.
