So, I rarely review products but feel I have to as it is such a great bean to cup machine. I’ve had the De’Longhi Rivelia EXAM440.55 a couple of weeks now after purchasing it in Black Friday week to replace my De’Longhi basic espresso machine (it was great, but took at least 20 min to make a cappuccino and clean up afterwards). Firstly the coffee is beautiful and can be tailored to your needs and wants; size, strength and even creaminess of the milk foam, it feels like you have your own personal barista in the kitchen! The setup is easy and the machine guides you through everything you need to know without even looking at the manual. It cleans the milk and coffee dispensers after each cup with minimal time and effort, just make sure you have a spare mug or vessel to hand to collect the waste water. The milk dispenser can be easily detached and kept in the fridge between uses which is a big plus for me. It lets you know if anything needs emptying (drip tray, waste grounds etc) or if it’s time to deep clean the milk dispenser – it will guide you through it all, step by step from the screen. The 2 hopper system is great, BUT this is also my one minor gripe with the machine. We swap between regular and decaffeinated beans (my partner prefers decaf), but it will always leave spare beans from the previous coffee in the grinder. It can be overcome by twisting the current hopper to unlock, and then selecting the option to grind and remove the beans in the grinder which is wasteful. Overall apart from the minor wastage of beans between hoppers, I can’t recommend this machine highly enough; exquisite coffee, beautiful and slim design, easy use and (minimal) cleaning, easily customisable, personal preference settings for individuals etc… If you’re in two minds about buying it, take the plunge, you absolutely won’t regret it.

Vous donne Vraiment un bon cafe meilleur que notre ancienne grosse machine delonghi .. à 900€ en 2015 et qui devait être réparée pour 200€ après 28.000 cafés .. pas de regret d’avoir acheté la rivelia avec réservoir pour lait pour 670€ .. donne des cappuccino incroyables

Wer morgens nur dank Kaffee ansatzweise funktionstüchtig ist, wird die De’Longhi Rivelia EXAM440.55.G lieben – und zwar ab dem Moment, in dem der erste duftende Schluck die Seele streichelt. Ich spreche aus frischer Erfahrung.
Lieferung & Verpackung: Amazon typisch schnell geliefert, sauber verpackt – wobei ich anmerken muss: Es wirkte, als hätte die Maschine schon mal frische Luft geschnuppert. Vielleicht ein Rückläufer? Egal. Keine Gebrauchsspuren, alles picobello, also kein Thema für mich.
Design & erster Eindruck: Die Farbe Grau ist in echt sogar noch schicker als auf den Fotos. Das Gerät wirkt hochwertig verarbeitet, fügt sich elegant in meine Küche ein und macht sofort klar: Hier wohnt jemand mit Geschmack. Und Koffeinbedarf.
Bedienung & Display: Einschalten, Bildschirm folgen, fertig. So einfach ist das. Das 3,5-Zoll-Display nimmt einen bei der Hand wie ein freundlicher Barista und führt durch alle Einstellungen. Ich habe die gedruckte Anleitung nicht mal angerührt. Intuitiver geht’s kaum.
Kaffeequalität: Ich bin Kaffeetrinker, kein Milchschaumakrobat – und die “normale” Tasse Kaffee muss bei mir sitzen. Tut sie. Und wie! Die Rivelia liefert konstant heiße, aromatische Ergebnisse, die dank der Bean Adapt-Technologie optimal abgestimmt sind. Andere Getränke wie Cappuccino oder Latte? Genau so simpel zu machen: Knopfdruck, zack, fertig.
LatteCrema-Milchsystem: Funktioniert einwandfrei. Der Milchschaum ist cremig, stabil und sieht aus wie aus dem Café. Reinigung? Halbautomatisch und stressfrei. Da hat De’Longhi mitgedacht.
Bean Switch System: Noch nicht genutzt – ich bleibe treu bei meinen Illy-Bohnen. Aber ich liebe die Option, für Gäste oder Lust-auf-was-Neues-Tage schnell umstellen zu können. Praktisch!
Nutzerprofile & Individualisierung: Bin noch am Erkunden, was da alles möglich ist. Aber die Maschine merkt sich schon mal: Kaffee hat bei mir Vorrang. Ein guter Anfang!
Keine Schwächen entdeckt, keine Mängel gefunden. Wer gerne Kaffee trinkt – in jeder denkbaren Variante – oder einfach stilvoll warme Milch vorm Schlafengehen genießt, ist hier genau richtig. Hochwertig, einfach zu bedienen, vielseitig und lecker. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Bought this just before christmas as present to myself :-)) I’ve had a few different coffee machines in the past, from Tassimo to Nespresso, all good at the time, but never really hit the spot (my coffee addiction !!) Then along came De’longhi Rivelia. OHMY !!!! :-)))) I researched the different machines/functions/prices De’longhi offers, and I can honestly say that this machine for the price point it’s a complete bargain. What a choice of different coffees you can make, you can adjust size, strength, coffee bean type, etc etc so many functions in a small compact machine AMAZING. My coffees just get better and better the more I’m using this and customising my drinks every time. I really could go on and on about how this coffee machine is so great. Trust me, if you looking for a decent, good priced coffee maker, this has to be one of the best out there at this moment. BUY BUY BUY De’longhi you rock. Ten stars ++++++++++

I paid full price for this and it was sent as a second hand unit. In addition to that it did not work. I kept getting an error message saying the water circuit is empty even though water was coming out of the spout. Tried for ages to get it to run.
This is the second non working unit I have received from Amazon. I will try one more time and then give up.
UPDATE – I returned this and got a new one and its fabulous – makes great coffee.

Łatwa, intuicyjna obsługa, proste menu. Dwa wymienne, zamykane pojemniki pozwalają na szybką zmianę kawy. Niewielki, zgrabny. Przez to, że jest mały to maksymalna wysokość szklanki wynosi lekko ponad 14 cm. Minusem dla mnie jest oznaczanie wielkości kawy s,m,l,xl bez podania pojemności w ml.

Delivered in a nicely and safely packed box.
Setting up was quite easy until it didn’t want to finish the set up! It took me half an hour to realise what was the problem. Valve on the water container was not in the right place and machine couldn’t suck the water and kept telling me to fill up the tank, which was pretty annoying, but solved problem in the end. Valve just needed a gentle push from the inside of the water container so it connects properly with the valve in the machine. I guess DeLonghi needs to work on this, as I was close to returning it, and for someone else it could have been the only solution.
When finally got it to work I was very delighted with the quality of espresso, and the machine in overall.
It produces nice “stout style” espresso with great quality foam. Lattes, cappuccinos and other coffees also tastes great.
Machine is very easy to use, intuitive, intelligent and adaptive to the user. It will guide you step by step on when and what to do. Once set your preferences and type of coffee beans it’s pretty much one button away from your perfect coffee.
Pictures with popular air fryer next to it to give you an idea of the size. It’s very compact and will fit on most kitchen worktops. I was afraid that the beans container would be too high but it fits great under 50cm space between worktop and kitchen cupboards. Size is correct in the description 38cm.
So far very happy with the purchase. Will update in the future if anything changes.

Antes de nada, comentar que es la primera vez que he tenido una cafetera superautomática, pues vengo desde hace muchos años de cafeteras Nespresso con capsulas y vaya por delante que me ha encantado.
Después de ver muchos modelos, he optado por el modelo RIVELIA de De’longhi, por incorporar depósitos intercambiables, pues este sistema te da opciones a poder degustar diferentes tipos de café, aunque viene con dos depósitos (por ejemplo, para café arábica y descafeinado), puedes adquirir más depósitos y tener opción a más estilos de cafés, lo que me parece una buena y excelente idea y además, es de las muy pocas que incorpora 19 bares.
También me ha encantado el panel en color y animaciones que presenta para poder tener hasta 16 tipos de bebidas y estas personalizarlas a tu gusto, pues también admite tener 4 perfiles y en cada perfil memorizar los estilos de cafés que, gusta a cada persona de la casa (como intensidad, nivel de molido, cantidad, temperatura etc.), yo concretamente he dejado un perfil para los amigos que me visiten y como no, incorpora un pequeño grifo que, se puede colocar en lugar de la jarra de leche para realizar infusiones de té, manzanillas etc.
También memoriza en cada perfil los tipos de café que has personalizado para degustar en cada momento del día, ejemplo, para el desayuno, el almuerzo, para después de la comida y para merendar, te lo deja al principio para que no tengas que buscarlo, esto es rizar el rizo.
Además de poder realizar cafés en grano sin moler, que es lo ideal, también te tiene la opción de realizar un café con el grano ya molido, teniendo un hueco para guardar todos los accesorios y tenerlos siempre a mano, todo está pensado en esta RIVELIA.
Pero claro, lo más importante al final es como hace el café y aquí es donde echa el resto, ésta cafetera superautomática, la verdad, que realiza un excelente café, el expresso con mucha crema por encima y un gran sabor, el capuchino me ha parecido excelente, el café de la mañana con leche echo a tu gusto y como no, ese descafeinado que te tomas por las tardes, perfecto.
También es cierto que en mi caso he tenido que saborear varios cafés para dejarlos como a mí me gusta, pero, tiene una opción en cada tipo de café denominada “My” que te memoriza un café echo a tu perfecto gusto, que no se me olvide decir, que si en un momento determinado quieres un extra de café también tiene esta buena opción.
Como he comentado al principio, después de muchos años con cafeteras de capsulas, he dado el salto a las superautomática, y no me ha defraudado absolutamente nada de nada, ya que sigo tomando un excelente café y además con un buen ahorro, pues aún comprado de los mejores cafés en grano, sigue siendo más barato que las capsulas. He de comentar que he conseguido un excelente precio en Amazon.
Si tengo que poner una pequeña pega, es que a la hora de la limpieza tienes que perder más tiempo que con las de capsulas, pero también tengo que decir que, en esta RIVELIA todo se monta y desmonta con una facilidad extraordinaria.
En definitiva, por mi parte esta cafetera superautomática RIVELIA la recomiendo si duda alguna al 100%, por su gran novedad de depósitos intercambiables, por sus excelentes formas de memorizar los cafés para hacerlos a tu gusto y tenerlos todos a mano en cada momento del día. MUY COMPLETA.

I’ve just upgraded from the delonghi magnifica to the rivelia after much procrastination. I loved my old coffee machine but it just didn’t give me decent milk based coffees and I’ve developed a daily craving for a decent flat white. This new machine is amazing – heat of coffee, ability to simply customise drinks and set up profiles so everyone in house gets their own favs at touch of a button. I also love the handy fridge storing milk container and the fact that the whole machine (including the milk pipes) self clean after every serve. Finally having two bens containers so you can swap depending on taste is very handy. All in all I absolutely love it and def worth the money – I’ll break even in about 7 months based on the number of coffees I bought on the go. Have couple of on the go cups bought for work – one for my morning black coffee and one for my mid morning flat white. Love it!

All in all I absolutely love it and def worth the money – I’ll break even in about 7 months based on the number of coffees I bought on the go. Have couple of on the go cups bought for work – one for my morning black coffee and one for my mid morning flat white. Love it!
