The blender didn’t work out of the box.
Returned next day.

This blender has been a game changer in my kitchen. It handles everything from smoothies to sauces with ease the motor is powerful, and it blends quickly without leaving chunks behind. The jug is a good size for both single servings and larger batches, and it’s easy to clean, which is a big plus. I also like that it doesn’t make too much noise compared to other blenders I’ve owned. Whether I’m making a morning smoothie or blending ingredients for soup, it gets the job done efficiently. Definitely a solid addition to any home cook’s setup.

Got it around April 2024 and have used it very little since then… We’re talking double figures, like 20 times or so. A little more lately since I started making my own chilli sauce – basically chillis, fried onion and tinned tomatoes, etc, so that gives you an idea of blender power (maybe or maybe not). Most stuff I blended was boiled first like for soups so not sure about raw fruit/veg. Easy enough to clean with a quick rinse or adding water to it and blending it. Very light and easy to use. It did the job well enough until today 18/02/25 where it worked as normal for about 5 seconds and then just cut out. I’ve tried everything within reason (plug sockets work fine), no obstructions, everything is attached properly for safety and I even tried a different fuse in the plug to no avail. It does seem pretty cheaply made but I’ve had cheap plastic toasters and kettles that have lasted longer and kettles are used a ridiculous amount throughout the day as you know so I’m thinking poor product quality as the reason for this.

If you are budgeting but need an efficient, easy to use blender, this is it. Slick design, all settings under one button, fast, powerful, easy to assemble etc. My family are using it every single day and it works just fine.

So far so good, really powerful blender. Easy to clean and easy to put back together after cleaning. Seems very sturdy material. Sleek design and can make lots of different things. So far I’ve used it for vegetables for soup, and I’ve got protein shakes and smoothies.

I make a smoothie every day (more or less) and in it I have ffour rozen spinach lumps about 2cm x 2cm. I make about a litre of smoothie. I don’t use my blender for anything else. In the past few years I have gone through about four blenders because of this level of use. This Philips blender is the best I’ve owned … so far. I’ve only owned it for about three months so I cannot testify to its longevity but so far it is as good as new.
Its container is narrow at the bottom so the blades can ‘reach’ everything. Some containers are wide at the bottom and the blades don’t reach out far enough and the result is lumpy smoothie or just longer blend times. This makes the Philips more efficient. Even though it is not the most powerful blender I have owned it is the quickest. I’ve had more powerful blenders take twice as long.
It’s easy to clean, because I use it every day it’s an important factor for me. I’ve had blenders that had stuff in impossible to reach places that needed complete dismantling of fiddly bits of rubber and subunits … real pain. The Philips is easy to clean with no dismantling of anything.
It’s easy to use. There’s one speed (plus pulse). The container fits easily onto the base intuitively and with a satisfying click. The lid doesn’t have a removable plug in its centre, less to clean. Simple. Less to go wrong.
It copes easily with frozen spinach lumps.
It’s not expensive compared with other blenders.
In the past I’ve had blenders made by morphy richards, russell hobbes, sainsbury’s’, and chinese ones. the morphy richards was the only one to come close to the Philips. (All lowest-end of their respective ranges).
Conclusion: Hands down the Philips is the best blender I’ve owned. It’s the most efficient, quickest, easiest to use, intuitive, easy to clean and did I mention lightest and quietest?? The only caveat is how long will it last? So far (approx 3 months) it’s been terrific with every sign of lasting years … but we’ll see …

Never expected this, so I had to get a adapter to use as the plug cannot be used with the wall plug points we have in Australia.

I purchased mine 2 years ago on July 2023, it broke down yesterday in the middle of cooking. It’s lasted for 2 years for me but no longer working and need to get a different one. Do what you will with this information xx
